This was a restoration project for my fathers work.

From an early age I was always impressed by the incredibly detailed illustrations my father created for a series of gig posters in the late 60’s. These were largely created for bands performing in Liverpool. Some of which were names you may recognise today!

Sadly during that time his studio was looted and he lost nearly all of the original examples of his work from this highly productive time in his career.

Thankfully two examples survived in storage and were returned to him by friends years later.

I took those two torn and weathered posters and scanned them at high resolution so I could digitally retouch the damaged areas. I then separated the colour layers to produce black and white negatives for screenprinting.

The refurbished designs were screened onto 70 x 100cm 220gsm Fabriano Rosaspina cotton paper using high-quality inks.

Each poster is a limited edition of 50 prints individually numbered and signed by my father, Ronald Harris.
